CKUA Radio welcomed a visit from the Hon. Lindsay Blackett, Minister of Culture and Community Spirit, on Thursday, October 30th. The timing of the Minister's visit gave him the opportunity to see CKUA in full fundraising force. Minister Blackett referred to CKUA as an Albertan icon and said that Alberta will be Canada's leader in the Arts. Minister Blackett took a full tour of the Edmonton station and was inspired when he visited the vinyl library, commenting "I could spend days in here."
